Joseph joined firm’s Central Alabama office in 2013. Prior to joining Holtsford Gilliland, Joseph worked with a prominent personal injury law firm where his practice focused on complex nationwide pharmaceutical litigation. Joseph now focuses his practice primarily in the areas of general insurance defense, motor vehicle litigation, commercial motor carrier litigation, premises liability, personal injury litigation, insurance coverage, general civil defense, and representation of non-profit and governmental organizations.

Joseph earned his law degree at Faulkner University’s Jones School of Law, where he graduated summa cum laude. While in law school, Joseph competed in national moot court competitions and was a member of Jones Law Review. Joseph gained a broad range of legal experience by clerking for the Alabama Attorney General’s Office, the Elmore County District Attorney’s Office, and Montgomery County Circuit Court Judge Truman M. Hobbs, Jr. Joseph successfully tried circuit court and district court cases while still in law school. Joseph also served as a research and teaching assistant for Dean Matt Vega of Faulkner University’s Jones School of Law. Prior to law school, Joseph attended Troy University and Faulkner University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science.

Joseph is a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association, the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, and the American Inns of Court. Joseph and his wife Brittany are active members of University Church of Christ in Montgomery, and they participate in the church’s Inner City Ministry. Joseph is a native of Ozark, Alabama. He spent part of his childhood living in Guyana, South America, where his family worked as missionaries. Joseph and his wife continue to be involved in local and international mission work.
