Kathryn “Katie” Perera is an associate in the firm’s Gulf Coast office. She practices in the areas of general insurance defense and motor vehicle litigation.

Katie is admitted to practice in all state courts in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. Katie represents her clients’ interests in pre-suit matters and in litigation. She also has experience with providing recommendations and opinions regarding insurance coverage issues.

After earning her Bachelor of Arts degree from Auburn University, Katie received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia School of Law.  While in law school, Katie served as a Notes Editor on the Journal of Intellectual Property Law and participated in the Prosecutorial Justice Clinic as a student prosecutor in the Superior Court of Morgan County, Georgia.

A native of Mobile, Katie moved back to the Gulf Coast after graduating from law school. Prior to entering private practice, she served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Sarah Stewart, Hon. Michael Sherman and Hon. Brandy Hambright in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit of Alabama. Katie is a member of the Mobile County Bar Association, Baldwin County Bar Association, and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association.
