In 1978, Mr. McKenna began the practice of law as Counsel to the Mobile County Board of Health, focusing on health care issues and air pollution litigation.  In 1981, he joined a defense firm in Mobile at which he practiced for 38 years, serving as managing partner for several years.  He is admitted to practice in all State and Federal Courts in Alabama and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.  Mr. McKenna’s practice focuses on insurance and corporate litigation, including defending cases involving motor vehicle/ trucking accidents, fraud, bad faith, medical malpractice, commercial and business disputes, construction defects and products and premises liability.  He has served frequently as a mediator by court appointment and by agreement of the parties.  He is a frequent lecturer at continuing legal education seminars on topics involving insurance law and defense litigation.

Mr. McKenna is a member of the Mobile and Baldwin County Bar Associations. He is active in the community having served as President of the Mobile Jaycees, President of the Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo President of the Greater Gulf State Fair and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Azalea Trail and Festival.  Mr. McKenna has been married to his college sweetheart for over four decades. Together they are the proud parents of three wonderful children who have blessed them with four grandchildren.

Dennis is a 1975 graduate of Spring Hill College receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude.  While at Spring Hill, Dennis served as President of the local chapter of the Alpha Sigma Nu National Jesuit Honor Society and as President of the local chapter of the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society.  Mr. McKenna received his Juris Doctor degree from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary in Virginia in 1978.  While at William and Mary, he served as a member of the Moot Court team and as President of the Moot Court Board.
